My name is Marek and I am an Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist.  I am registered and accredited member of BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy), and hold Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling - 2012, Diploma in CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) - 2016, and Diploma in Trauma - 2018.  I have been counselling adult individuals since 2011, and developed various ways of working therapeutically with a wide range of difficulties my clients find challenging to manage.  I began therapeutic work with adult individuals in 2011-13 at the Centre for Better Health in Hackney, followed by counselling children in 2013-14 at Place2be and adults at Richmond Borough Mind Counselling Services- 2015-21.  Presently,  I work in private practice since 2017.  My therapeutic work is different from other practitioners as each therapist has their unique ways of working.  I am here to support you with your challenges and find new ways of making them more manageable.

Therapeutic Approach

In a nutshell, my therapeutic approach is an Integrative.  This means, that I bring different aspects from many theories such as Psychodynamic, Person centred/ Humanistic, CBT, Gestalt, Solution Focused, EFT together, for us to start making sense of your presenting difficulties.  Because we all differ from one another, a single therapeutic approach might not be sufficient and appropriate for everyone. Therefore, I use theories as a set of tools to work with you and your life experiences according to your needs.  It is not always easy to speak about yourself and particularly your past.  Especially, when it consists of negative memories, which became remembered in you, your mind and your body.  They tend to escalate and turn into anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship problems, causing you that unwanted distress you do not want to feel or simply need someone to help with.  I tailor an individual way of working with your challenges, in order for you to become able to approach them in different ways.  This will enable you manage your daily challenges in personal and professional life.  Moreover, we would be able to explore ways of finding an inner strengh, that has been blurred over the years of confusion and inability to stay in a present moment.
